This fall Brillia Ichiban-cho, a luxury condominium located in one of the most prestigious neighbourhood near the Imperial Palace has been completed. We contributed to the architecture planning for its common spaces such as the entrance hall, elevator lobby, hallways, and landscaping.

A high-rise condo in a prestigious location… One can easily draw from stereotypical design vocabulary of luxury apartments when designing a building like this one. We brought in a perspective of real users, people who will own and live in the property and spend their daily lives there.
We visited and observed a few people who lived in and around the neighborhood, in similar high-rise apartments, gained insights from their everyday lives, and weaved thoughts and images, together with our client, around how to present valuable user experiences in the apartment. The collaboration process was not a smooth sailing. Investing time and money in observing the real users at the very first stage, however, eventually delivered a superb ROI. The build units, with their quality design that is elegant without being ostentatious, were all sold out even before completion.

If you have the chance to visit the neighbourhood you are welcome to take a stroll in the front garden and enjoy the gentle sound of small stream there.
